About the charity

The Food Chain exists to provide access to food and nutrition support services for people living with HIV at times of crisis. We deliver groceries and meals, offer cookery and nutrition classes and host shared meals in our friendly kitchen. We help people to get well, stay well and live independently.  Inspired by our practical response, hundreds of volunteers deliver our services, supported by a staff team of eight. Working together since 1988, we are a supportive and nurturing community of volunteers, staff, supporters, organisations and people living with HIV.

We have organised the Food Chain 30th Anniversary Walk on Saturday 15th September!

Walk 30 miles along the beautiful Thames Towpath from Henley on Thames to The City of London!

You can choose to walk all 30 miles or form a relay team walking 10 miles each (or as far as you like) You can stop for a picnic on your travels and we will have drinks and refreshments at the finish location. The route is stunning with amazing city views ahead of you as you snake through beautiful countryside next to the river.
