Please find below our simple terms and conditions for your event.

It is important that you read and agree to these, as primarily they are designed to ensure your safety and wellbeing throughout the event. By completing and returning your registration form and deposit you are confirming your agreement to these terms.

Registration and payment

By completing and returning your registration document, which you have already returned to St Luke’s and paying your deposit you are committing to the walk.

By registering for the event you are confirming that you are over 16 years old. If you are under 16 you must be accompanied by an appropriate adult. We request that there is at least one adult present for every two participants under 16.

On The Event

Due to the nature of outdoor activities a certain element of risk is inherent. Advocate Events and associated partners reserve the right to cancel or change the event for safety reasons should climatic or any other unforeseen circumstances deem this necessary. Our decision is final and no refund or alternative event will be offered.
All participants take part entirely at their own risk.
You will be responsible for providing your own personal equipment. Route maps will be provided prior to the event. Advocate Events strongly advise that you bring your own detailed maps.

Marshals and water stations will be available during your walk. However, you are responsible for bringing your own drinks and snack food.

Participants are responsible for following the appropriate route. Whilst maps and guides are provided neither Advocate Events or the charity accept any responsibility for the accuracy of the information provided.   
Advocate Events is unable to accept liability for any loss or damage to personal belongings, however arising, during the event.
Advocate Events will not accept liability relating to costs incurred by individuals if the event is cancelled for any reason outside its control including any incidental expenses such as local accommodation.
By taking part all participants confirm they are happy for any photographs taken during this event to be used by Advocate Events to publicise events and Advocate Events generally.
Dogs must be kept on a lead and are their owners responsibility
No skateboards, rollerblades or bicycles will be permitted on this event.  


Your event is covered with both public and employers liability insurance. We are not responsible for any loss or damage incurred as a result of you or your party not following safety guidance and advice, or any reckless behaviour, or for loss or damage to your personal possessions.
You will be entering the event ENTIRELY at your own risk and agree that Advocate Events and associated partners shall not be liable for any injury or loss that might occur as a result of participation however caused.


Some events may require a minimum fundraising target which will be detailed by St Luke's.   
You are responsible for achieving your fundraising target. In order to complete the challenge it is important that you commit to achieving this figure. Advocate Events reserve the right to cancel your participation should you have not paid the required fee by St Luke's.
